Sofa love
It isn't at the top of my to-buy list, but it's on there: I want a new sofa. Of course, I start thinking about purchases long before I'm ready to spend (witness my yet-to-be-completed bedroom). But which sofa? I thought tuxedo for a long time. And then I went in an entirely different direction and thought Chesterfield all the way. But the English roll-arm seemed the down-the-middle choice. I think this room from the most recent Lonny has further convinced me.

Sofia Coppola has that same sofa. I fell in love with it when they posted it in domino. Definitely a great choice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Lonny magazine. I hadn't heard of it before.
that sofa looks SO comfy!!! i bought a stunning red velvet sofa from my local thrift shop that is awesome, but not extremely comfortable. fits several seated, but not two for reclined cuddles :)
ReplyDeleteThis couch is perfect. I want one too! I like overstuffed, but not frumpy and this is just divine! Love that combo of grey and coral too.
ReplyDeleteAwesome couch!!
ReplyDeleteI want a new sofa too — and long way away from the money to commit. I love the classic shape of the roll arm.
ReplyDeleteugh! i adored this sofa when i saw it too. doesn't it make you just want sink right into it with a great book and a cup of tea??
ReplyDeleteLooks great, but . . .be careful about those oversized cushions. They tend to get misshapen if you don't flip them regularly, and they're HARD to flip. Also, just vacuuming the crumbs up from underneath is a major undertaking. Personally, I don't find them comfortable, but that's a matter of taste. My experience is that people end up not liking them and can't wait to replace them. Morag
